Holiday Time = Fun Time
Ok, so I went back to Motherland (Kenya) with my two brothers, Solomon and Martin in November 2008. We were home for two months, and it was the best two months i've had in a long time!!!! We had a wonderful family reunion which was quite cool, coz the last time we were all home together was in Jan 2006.
The entire trip was refreshing, relaxing and quite fruitful. To start with, we arrived home to our new place which was kinda weird at first coz we'd been living elsewhere for 24 years. Most importantly, I got to see all my immediate aunts and uncles from both sides of the family, which was no easy task, considering my dad comes from a family of 10 kids... I got to eat lots of nyam chom, pilau, mukimo, ngima with nyeni and fish, chapatis...the list is endless, and I wonder why I can barely fit into any of my clothes. I even got to catch up with all my close friends from High school and college.
In addition to all these, I got to share the joy of a milestone for my home Church (Nairobi Lighthouse Church. The milestone was getting a Chruch building we can now call our very own, after 22 years of waiting, praying and constantly fasting.
All these things warm my heart, as I realised how much I love and miss home. All in all, I am grateful to God for bringing me to Australia, because He has a purpose and a destiny for me. To crown it all, here are some photos highlighting my wonderful holiday in Kenya.
PS: If anyone has a free air-ticket to Kenya, just holla at me asap, because now I want another holiday!!!!!!!!!!!
