Reflection

Following the previous blog, "Love Starts With a SMILE", I've been doing a lot of reflection on the whole idea of friendship. Anyone can say they have friends, but how do you define a friend? Have you ever really stopped to think about who your true frinds are? Well, lately I've found myself in situations which have caused me to seriously do some soul searching on friendship.

A true friend is someone who is always there for you through thick and thin. He or she always stands by your side when the rest of the world turns their back on you. A true friend laughs with you in times of joy, and not only offers their shoulder to cry on, but cries with you in times of sorrow. A true friend is one whose embrace warms your heart!

Couldn'thelp it, so here's a poem specailly dedicated to YOU, my special friend. What more can I say, but thank you for being my friend:

A Special Friend
By Rae Scales

You've touched my heart,
You've helped me through,
My pain and sorrow,
which weren't too few.

You shared my smiles,
and my tears.
You were always there,
to squelch my fears.

To you my friend and confidant,
I give my heart of love,
My smiles of laughter,
and the hope that,
We will remain friends,
forever and after.

Love Starts With a SMILE!

Yeah, I know! Here's something interesting I found, so I thought i'd share it with you. If you're having a bad day or you just don't feel like smiling, this might help change your mind:

"Love starts with a smile, grows with a kiss, and ends with a tear.

Don't cry over anyone who won't cry over you.

Good friends are hard to find, harder to leave, and impossible to
forget.

Don't let the past hold you back, you're missing the good stuff.

BEST FRIENDS are the siblings God forgot to give us.

When it hurts to look back, and you're scared to look ahead, you can

look beside you and your BEST FRIEND will be there.

Nobody is perfect until you fall in love with them.

Remember, every minute spent angry is sixty seconds of happiness
wasted."
