Keep Smiling :)

I've been thinking about smiling and what it is worth. The first reason as to why this thought has been on my mind is becasue a number of my friends tell me that I have a beautiful smile, and secondly, I've been wondering why nobody's ever thought of adding up the value of a smile. We know how much a dollar is worth and how far it is to the moon, but nobody has ever told us how much a smile is worth. As always, I did my homework and these are some of my thoughts in relation to smiling.

To start with, a smile is an inexpensive way of improving your looks. As you are probably aware, a smile costs nothing but you'll be surprised to know that it gives away much.Secondly, a smile is of no value to anyone until it is given away.It is a curve that sets a lot of things straight, and it can open a heart faster than a key can open a door.Do you ever smile when no one else is around you?If you do, you really mean it.Most importantly, It only takes a moment to smile, but the memory lasts forever! So to everyone out there who hardly ever smiles, and to those of you who smile as often as I do, KEEP SMILING :)

Best Moments in Life

Lately, i've been doing a lot of reflection on my life, and i've been trying to remember all the best moments in my life.Considering how old or young I am, i've got very many, but just thought it would be worth to share some of them with you. They include:
1.Spending time with God (just the two of us!),
2.Spending time with my family and friends,
3.Falling in love,
4.Passing my final University exams with good grades,
5.Having a great time with all my friends,
6.Serving God with passionate and wonderful people,
7.Having a double blessing like my birthday and graduation on the same day, and
8.Smiling, as it gives me a sense of unexplainable peace, and leaves those around me wondering what i'm thinking about :)

Please feel free to share some of the best moments in your life.
Cheers,

A Need for Forgiveness

Okay, so there is this story that's been going on in Kenya for the last week or so.A Kenyan gospel rapper and Kora award winner recently went on a trip with a group of friends, and while he was on the trip, he was caught carousing, drinking recklessly and kissing a girl.As a result, many people have turned against him, saying all sorts of nasty things about him, particularly due to the fact that he's a Christian.Even after he came out clean and addmitted that what he did was wrong and intolerable and sought some counselling from his Church elders, people are still saying that he's a bad role model, he's probably not a Christian etc.So...what happened to FORGIVENESS?As Christians, does his mistake tell of our innate imperfection and subsequent need for forgiveness? In any case, if we are unable to empathise with our brother in Christ when he admits weakness and seeks God's forgiveness, who shall we ever be able to identify with? Please feel free to share your thoughts.
