For the Love of Kenya

Despite the fact that I have been in Australia for four years, my love for my country Kenya still remains and I couldn't be more proud to be Kenyan. This is a special tribute to my country, because today, Kenyans all over the world are celebrating "Jamhuri Day" (12 December, 1963), the day Kenya gained its Independence from the United Kingdom. This day is important in the Kenyan calendar, as it reminds all Kenyans to embrace and celebrate their cultural heritage.

The Kenyan Community for Western Australia organised a Kenyan Ball which was held on 1st December, 2006. We even got to hear a word of encouragement from the Kenyan High Comissioner, who had left his busy schedule in Canberra to participate in this event. These are some of the photos from the Kenyan Ball. To every Kenyan who gets to read this post today, Happy Jamhuri Day.

RVTV (Riverview TV Crew)

The Riverview TV Crew (RVTV Crew) is one of the areas of ministry in the life of Riverview Church. I became part of the RVTV Crew in April 2003, and have to admit that it's been a great blessing to be involved in this area. So, a brief history about RVTV, it currently has a total of 91 active members who dedicate their time and talents to serving the Lord. There are six teams at the moment, with a possible seventh on the way, so this minisry is really growing.I'm from Team 1, and my team leader's name Joelle. She's such a beautiful girl, she's loving and has a heart of gold! Being part of her team is a real blessing. Joelle and I go a long way back, and I thank God for bringing her along my path. There is a total of eleven people in our team, and it's an honour serving the Lord with every one of them. Here are a few photos of my film crew brothers and sisters.

This was one of the first group photos of team 1
This was during the first Riverview South Service in Jandakot, with our newest team member Micky
This photo is absolutely special because every team member was there for the shoot that night.Since then, our lovely apprentice team leader has recently become the team leader of team two.
