Treasure Every Moment
As you are probably aware, i'm from Nairobi, Kenya, which is located in East Africa, but i'm currently studying at Edith Cowan University in Perth, Western Australia. So anyway, I came to Australia on 18 July, 2002, and I hadn't been back home until last year, when after being away from home for three years and half years, my older brother Solomon who's been here since 1999 (in case you're wondering, he was home in Decemeber 2000) and I got an opportunity to go back home for Christmas. On our way home, we passed through Singapore for a friend's wedding.
Well, I must say, it was such a blessing to be home and we had a family reunion, which was really special coz we hadn't had one for five years.Whoever said, "There's no place like home" sure knew what they were talking about!
So just to give you a background idea about my family, first there's our oldest sister Njeri (some of the longest serving RVTV members would probably recognise her), looking as beautiful as always, and doing really well for herself. Next comes our wonderful big brother Gaturu, who i'll tell you more about when time is right. I'm the third in the family, followed by my younger brother Karuma, and then there's our youngest sister Wanjiru, the baby of the family. My younger siblings have really grown...I mean seriously. They kinda make me look like the youngset in the family. Of course I can't forget my parents. My mum, she's my star, my role model and my best friend. And as for my dad, i'll always be 'daddy's girl' so don't mess with me y'all! It's getting closer to Christmas, so for what it's worth, I thought i'd post some of the photos we took during out trip to Singapore and Kenya on the blog, because i've started feeling homesick. The entire trip was a moment I will always live to cherish. May it be a reminder to everyone who gets to read this post to treasure every moment of your life.
